The David Whitmer Community Service Award is presented annually to a member of the Ray County community who has exemplified a life of community service and integrity.

The award is co-sponsored by the Ray County Historical Society, the Missouri Mormon Frontier Foundation, and Far West Missouri Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A committee of individuals from the three sponsoring organizations reviews the nominations and conducts a down-select process to determine the award winner.

Nominations will be accepted from June 1 to July 19, 2019.

Award Criteria:

  • Current or past resident of Ray County
  • Exemplify a life of community service and integrity
  • Nominated by a leader in a Ray County community
